Catching Up with… Baz Savage
TLF enjoyed spending the afternoon with TOT’s former Brighton, Tranmere and Millwall playmaker. Baz is now coming to the end of his first full season in Thai football and has really enjoyed the experience. Whilst the style of play and training methods are very different to those back in the UK, he has learnt to adapt and develop his career.
With his fellow midfield general Diego Walsh, Baz has helped turn round a team who were heavy favourites for relegation before the season started to one that boasts the currently unique feat of having beaten Muang Thong United.
Looming to the future, Baz is at the peak of his powers and hopes to stay in the Kingdom past his current contract. Good luck with that. He has certainly impressed plenty of fans and opposition coaches alike with his swashbuckling, intelligent brand of midfield and forward play.
