While Bangkok Glass employee teams have played local matches in Pathum Thani since the company was established in 1979, the club in its current incarnation was founded in 2006, and entered the Ngor (ง) Royal Cup in 2007. In 2009, they controversially bought out Krung Thai Bank’s place in the Thai Premier League. Since then, they have been at the forefront of the move to professionalism in Thai football, building a modern stadium, opening a club shop & cafe, and continuing their good work with their well-established academy. However, despite their wealth and outlay, major success has eluded them. As yet, their best finish in the TPL is 3rd on debut in 2009, and their only major trophy is Singapore’s FA Cup in 2010
